Meta Tag Optimization: Baloney or Good SEO? » Online Marketing Blogкомпютри

I would have to vote that it is good SEO and part of any well developed Web site. It will not only help the visitors find your site, but it will also help the search engines better understand who you are. A lot of people say that it is no longer relevant, and to a point I agree. At the same time search engines will use the META description in the SERPs, so a well written description should help with your CTR.Wenn bis zum Button alle gefoldet haben, und dieser dann erh?ht, spricht man von einem casino Blind Stealing , es ist durchaus gerechtfertigt , mit poker H?nden, die man in Late Position spielen wurde, zu re raisen.

Synergy Between Domain Names & Keyword Based Search Engine Optimization Strategies : SEO Book.com

A good post by SEO Book.com on if domain names really matter when it comes to SEO. I imagine it would depend on the industry and the type of search query that is being used. For example, Amazon.com it most likely does not get the majority of its traffic from people typing in Amazon.  True, it ranks well in Google for that keyword, but the domain doesn’t really explain what the site is about. If someone typed in online shopping for electronics, or had onlineshoppingelectronics.com as its domain name would it rank better than Amazon? At this point most likely not.  I tested it out, and Amazon was the number one result on Google.

Anchor text is what makes the difference. If people linking to Amazon, and use Amazon as the anchor text it probably as not effective if they used: Amazon-Online Shopping or Amazon books and electronics. Using this type of anchor text will give more validity to a site. Then again does Amazon really need any more help in this area?

End Searcher Optimization: The New SEO

Brian Eisenberg of Grokdotcom has come out with a great article about how SEO is changing from focusing on H1 tags and META, to truly focusing on the customer and their needs. It was bound to come to this. People are looking for information, not code structure or keyword density. They want to know about your product, and what others think about your product. As we have seen with the way search engines are evovling, the search engines are going in that direction as well. They are looking at how popular your site is. Is it reputable? Do other quality sites link to it? Is there buzz about your product in forums and blogs?

A spider does have to be able to read your page, but when it comes down to getting customers to your site and conversions, you need to be able to have something worth talking about.

Does Your Site Deserve Link Love?

Am I worth it? Ultimately that is what it comes down to. Are your products, services worth people’s time and effort to find? Is your site worth the time it takes people to find it and read the information that you have posted?

Sage Lewis talks about this in his recent Search Engine Watch article. Are you worth talking about, or is it just another dull site with poor service?

Check out his reference to Seth Godin’s, book, Purple Cow. Read Seth’s book, and think about what makes you so different and unique to where people want to spend money on your product or service.

How To Structure An In-House SEO Team

Through my experience an SEO team needs to be developed in-house. The people inside the company know the business and the industry better than any agency or consultant that could come in and take over their SEO. With that said, it is also imperative to have an outside expert who can come in and help develop objective SEO stratgies as well as train your internal experts on the latest, greatest trends.

Paul Bruemmer at Search Engine Land gives a good overview of structuring an in-house SEO team as well as a few good ideas on why you need to have some outside help to stay ahead of the game.

Connecting Through Content, Issue Two - KnowledgeStorm

KnowledgStorm and MarketingSherap have joined together again to develop a report identifying where technology buyers go to find information about products they are purchasing.

Interestingly enough 84% of technology buyers begin their search online. I think a lot of times marketers forget that when someone is buying something for their company, they usually have the same research habits as if they were buing a new TV or other electronic home accessory. As marketers develop marketing plans, we need to remember that people have habits of doing things, and those habits usually cross-over from work to home.

This report has great insight into what BtoB buyers are doing online, and what you should do to get their attention. Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and quality content development. These three things will help you when trying to attract buyers for your products.
