Another shopping engine just in time for Christmas…. This site is very visual and allows visitors to find things that look similar. It is quite cool. You can actually search celebrities to see what they are wearing, and then define your search around Orlando’s Bloom watch or Mischa Barton’s newest purse.

Like search is limited at this point as you are only allowed to search purses, watches, shoes and jewelry. Great if that is what you are looking for, and you want to look like your favorite celebrity. Not so great if you want information on the newest mp3 player.

Once you click on a watch you “like”, you can then customize your search results to find the exact watch that you are looking for using the aspect bars. This includes color, shape and pattern. It is an intuitive tool, that can really help you find what you are looking for. You can also slim down your options by choosing manufacturer, store, style and other important features such as metal or leather band.

I think this site is very helpful for people who are very particular about what they wear, and care who else is wearing it. I would highly recommend this for getting that perfect gift for the fashion concious people on your shopping list.

TheFind.com, a new shopping engine, has launched just in time for the holidays. Its goal is to “…search every store online and quickly find the top products, brands and stores for your search.” Quite a claim even for Google, Ask or Yahoo!, so I went to try it out. It was really cool, and seemed to pick up a lot of stores. I am not sure if a visitor would ever be able to determine if every store on the Web was searched, but they give a good enough set of results to not make you question their claim. The results come up as images, and has a nice mouseover that gives the visitor a good description of the product. Once you click on the result, like most search engines, you head to the store’s page which is selling the product. Another cool feature is that you can save your “findings” and then send them to all of your friends, so they can start building their shopping lists. Good times!
